Orders and Fulfillment
Orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days. Once dispatched from our New Zealand facility via our logistics partners (DHL, FedEx, or UPS), the estimated transit time is 5 to 10 business days. We provide tracking updates via the email address provided at checkout at key stages of the delivery process.
In the event that an order exceeds the standard transit timeframe, we will initiate an inquiry with the carrier. We commit to resolving the carrier investigation within 14 business days. If the carrier confirms the package is lost, or if the investigation exceeds this timeframe without definitive tracking updates, we will immediately arrange a full refund or a replacement shipment at no additional cost to you.
Risk of Loss and Title
In accordance with the European Consumer Rights Directive, the risk of loss or damage to the goods remains with Plaidstoragecot until the goods are physically received by the consumer or a third party indicated by the consumer (other than the carrier). Ownership of the products transfers to the customer upon physical receipt.
Right of Withdrawal (European Consumers)
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
Withdrawal Period: The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party indicated by you (other than the carrier), acquire physical possession of the goods.
Notification: To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement sent via email to support@plaidstoragecot.com.
Effects of Withdrawal: We will reimburse all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
Please note that you will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods to our designated facility.
Damaged or Defective Goods
We maintain strict quality control. If you receive an item that is damaged or defective, please contact our support team at support@plaidstoragecot.com within 14 days of receiving the product.
To expedite your request, please provide photographic evidence of the damaged or defective item. Upon verification of the provided evidence, we will process a refund or arrange for a replacement shipment at our discretion. You are not required to return damaged items.
Taxes and Duties
All orders dispatched to European customers are processed on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis. This means that the total price paid at checkout is inclusive of applicable import duties and taxes. You will not be required to pay additional fees to customs authorities upon the arrival of your package.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Plaidstoragecot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or website. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific product giving rise to the claim.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights that may apply under the laws of your country of residence within the European Union.
